Formed in 2019, Take 4 is an artistic hub which showcases the work of locally and nationally renowned contemporary artists.

Each exhibition selects work reflecting a common theme from artists working in four different media. Take 4 specialises in contemporary artists ranging from painters to sculptors, ceramicists to photographers, jewellers to feltmakers. We display works ranging from abstract through to figurative.

Exhibitions run for several weeks. The gallery is rehung during the course of the exhibition, to create new dialogues between the artists, subject matter, styles and media on display.

Our ethos: Take 4 is a welcoming space for established and emerging artists to exhibit. We intend to avoid the intimidating atmosphere of some galleries; we encourage questions and conversations about the art and our team enjoys talking about the work that is on display!

Our studio is a space for aspiring artists to learn new skills and get in touch with their creative side through Caroline H Green’s Classes and Workshops.

Through our ‘Meet the Maker’ sessions we strive to break boundaries between the artist and viewer; allowing visitors insight into the artists’ creative process, inspirations and use of materials.

Take 4 is located in the heart of Ledbury and is strongly connected to the community and other cultural events; with links to Ledbury Poetry Festival, Hereford Art Week, and town-wide events like the Christmas late-night shopping. Take 4’s Studio is a space for new artists to blossom, and the Gallery is a space for them to make their debut.
